In high school she played multiple sports but after her sophomore year she decided that she was going to stick with soccer and start focusing more on hat. Her senior year in college was really the start of her whole career. She played on the school team called the Golden Bears and was definitely their star. She led them to the NCAA tournament all of her four years and the second round twice (the NCAA is the National College Athletic Association.) The cool thing about Morgan is that she missed multiple college matches to go play for the U.S. national team which is excellent. And in 2009 she became the youngest member of the women’s national soccer team. In 2011 she was drafted first overall in the Women’s Professional Soccer Draft by the New York Flash. In that same year she was in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup so she definitely had a lot on her plate. Being the youngest player she scored her first World Cup goal against France in the semifinal match.
At the end of that 2011 season she joined yet another soccer team. This was the Seattle Sounders. Then later she joined another team called the Portland Thorns. Both of these teams are in the national league. One of the exciting points is when she got a spot on the Olympic team in 2012, where she earned her first Olympic medal, which was gold.
