Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922) was an eminent scientist, inventor, engineer, teacher and innovator who is famous for invention of first practical telephone. Alexander Bell was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He had two brothers: Melville James Bell and Edward Charles Bell, but they died of the fatal disease called the white plague. His father was Professor Alexander Melville Bell, who had written several books on how to speak correctly as well as creating form of sign language called ‘visible speech’.
