Alexander Hamilton Achievements

Alexander Hamilton proved himself a hero when he completed his well known achievement of the financial plan, also known as the Hamiltonian System. The Hamiltonian system is the system where the government assumes state debts(Biography.com). Which means that the government will take everyones debts away and pay them themselves. The government really didn't like this idea so it took Hamilton about a year to persuade congress to go along with the Hamiltonian System(Biography.com)."Hamilton's vision for reshaping the American economy included a federal charter for a national financial institution. He proposed a bank of the United States... a central bank would help make the new nations economy dynamic through a more stable paper currency"(history.org). While proving himself with his most well known achievement, he had attained a lot more accomplishments as well. Earlier in his life, during the Battle of York Town, he was appointed Lieutenant Colonel(history.org). After that Hamilton decided to go down the road of
politics. He wanted to make the government stronger so John Jay, James Madison, and Hamilton joined together to write originally 25, but actually turned out to be 85 essays to defend the constitution. John Jay wrote five, James Madison wrote 29, and Alexander Hamilton wrote 51!(Chernow 260). In April 1790, Hamilton created the coast guard to patrol the seas and shores in search of patriots who gained habit of smuggling contraband(Chernow 340). Hamilton did prove himself a hero with all of those achievements, but it was his characteristics that got him there.
First of all, Hamilton had a lot of determination. It took Hamilton about a year to persuade Congress to use his financial plan. To persuade Congress, Hamilton agreed to move the nations state capital around the vicinity of the Potomac river(biography.com). Earlier in this article it is mentioned that Hamilton wrote 51 out of 85 of the Federalist papers(Chernow 260). That also shows that he was determined to defend the constitution. He had a lot of integrity as well. Hamilton chose Thomas Jefferson over Aaron Burr to withhold presidency, so he helped with Jefferson's campaign(biography.com). Which shows that Hamilton stood up for what he believed in and followed through. Hamilton was also very visionary. He developed the idea of his financial plan(Biography.com). Which in turn, took a lot of imagination and
creativity.
