Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen was born March 17, 1969 in Lewisham, London. He was the youngest of six children. He knew he wanted to be a fashion designer when he started making dresses for his three sisters at a young age. He left school at 16 to go on an apprenticeship with Savile Row where he earned his reputation in the fashion world. He attended Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and earned a masters degree in fashion design. McQueen has been credited with bringing drama and extravagance to the catwalk. He adds different twist to his shows and surprised audiences.
Some of McQueen's accomplishments included being one of the youngest designers to achieve the title "British Designer of the Year", which he won four times between 1996 and 2003; he was also awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers in 2003. By the end of 2007, Alexander McQueen had boutiques in London, New York, Los Angeles, Milan and Las Vegas. Many celebrities have been spotted wearing Alexander McQueen's designs which have increased his brand.
McQueen was very open about his sexual orientation. He married George Forsyth in Spain but the marriage ended a year later. They still kept a close friendship. McQueen's death was announced on February 11, 2010. He was found hung in his home in London. Before hanging himself with his favorite brown belt he had slashed his wrists. Cocaine, sleeping pills, and tranquilisers were found in the blood samples after his death. He had been diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depressive disorder.
In my opinion Alexander McQueen is a bold, unique and over the top designer. I love his style and his designs. McQueen was very obsessed with the afterlife. His clothes had a religious and medieval look. He would use a lot of basic colours. Repetitively used were red, gold and silver with detailed embroidery. His designs remind me very

"The first image-maker", according to New York magazine, Lauren is one of the fashion industry's biggest hitters. But Lauren studied business science and served his time in the army before breaking into fashion. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, by his parents who had emigrated from Belarus. He grew up in a working class neighborhood with his three brothers, mother and father (a house painter). While they were by no means poor, Ralph knew the value of a dollar from an early age and was blessed with a steadfast determination to make money and be successful. By his early teens, he was working after school jobs so that he could save up to buy expensive suits. Although he knew he could find his clothes at a less expensive price, he made it a point to look stylish in his expensive threads -- and he has succeeded at looking cool in his attire since the age of 12.…

The above ratios can be used to measure the efficiency of a firm’s investment policy. Burberry has a higher land, buildings and equipment to sales ratio as well as a higher depreciation to sales ratio. Moreover, the ratio of depreciation to sales provides a measure of the level of non-cash expenditure in relation to total sales. Consequently, Burberry appears to be relatively more efficient in managing its assets in relation to the revenue generated than H&M.…
