Alexander Miles Research Paper

Alexander Miles was born in Ohio on May 18, 1838. While Miles's exact birthplace and birthdate are unknown, it is believed that he was born in Pickaway County near the town of Circleville, being the son of Michael and Mary Miles. Alexander Miles ended up moving to Waukesha, Wisconsin later in his life where he got a job as a barber. After a move to Winona, Minnesota, he met and got married to Mrs. Candace J. Dunlap, who was living in La Porte, Indiana. She was a widow who had two children with her previous husband and who was four years older than him and a native of New York.
