Alexander Technique Principles are: the manner the individual has upon the activities that affected the body (Nettl-Fiol, Vanier 23), mental and health is something that is intertwine, the importance of the neck and head as the “primary control” of the body, unreliable sensory and kinesthetic awareness due to the overpowering habit, consciously choosing not to go to a habitual posture, (Nettl-Fiol, Vanier 24), and paying attention to the process of change instead of the main goal (Nettl-Fiol, Vanier 25). The technique is not a relaxing method, medical related nor it is a meditation process. It is a technique that enhances the awareness and consciousness of the individuals’ mechanism in muscle control and balance (Heirich 7).
