Alfredo Sfeir Leadership Summary
After viewing the Alfredo Sfeir Younis video on effective leadership, I was most intrigued by his central concept that leadership is not a title of authority, but a state of being. I agree with Sfeir on this point as I also believe that every moment of our lives is an opportunity for us to practice leadership skills. This is so as every opportunity we have to practice leadership in simple situations is a means of preparing us for difficult ones. This portrayal of leadership reminded me of the spiral of experience from the course material and the example of Colin Powell using basic tasks he performed in the military such as inspecting parachute safety cords to develop skills such as personal responsibility, which he carried over to his later
