They all gather on Pinkerton’s train.
A mysterious “BOY” sneaks onto the train. Pinkerton tells the posses that the James brothers have been involved in a range of crimes lead by a merciless captain named WILLIAM QUANTRILL. The James Gang has been searching locations of gold reserves. They have stolen untold millions of gold. One reserve remains and they believe the James’ gang will heist this reserve. The problem is that they don’t know where the reserve is. They recovered a burnt coded message from the gang that talks about a “Wild Rose”. They believe the coded message contains the location of the gold reserve. Their job is to stop the James
gang.
The mysterious boy turns out to be PISTOL PETE (FRANK EATON). He wants revenge on Dallas, who he believes was involved with Captain Quantrill and with the death of his father. Wyatt stops Pete. Pinkerton arranges for Pete to be placed in a detention center in the town of Rosa Kondee. The Earp brothers put the clues together: Wild Rose is Rosa Kondee; that’s the location.
The posse splits up as the Earp brothers go after a train hijacked by the James Gang. When the train is derailed, Virgil believes his brother Wyatt and Alex have been killed. Wyatt and Alex survive, but decide it’s best to pretend to be dead as they continue on their quest. Alex reveals himself to be Alexander Bell.
The posse narrows down the location to Fort Jay. In a turn of events, when the posse has James captured on a gunship, Elizabeth Moss reveals her betrayal. She’s working with the James Gang. Quantrill also reveals himself. Everyone thought he was dead. The posse learns that Quantrill’s agenda is not only the gold heist, but he wants to begin a major war.
In an all out battle, the posse battles the James brothers, Quantrill, and Elizabeth. Pete finally gets his revenge for the death of his father as he kills Quantrill. Virgil is happily surprised to see Wyatt. Hickok saves Jane from Elizabeth and they realize how much they love each other. Dallas saves Bass as the men resolve their differences. Virgil and Wyatt also reunite as a cohesive family.
Each member of the posse goes his or her own way. Hickok and Jane head to Deadwood where they believe they’ll find good luck. Dallas becomes a Marshall in El Paso. Bass becomes a Marshall in Oklahoma. Wyatt becomes a Marshall too. In Dodge City, Virgil Earp bears his badge.
In their quest to stop the James Gang, they think there’s one person who can help them: Dr. John Henry Holiday aka Doc Holiday. Wyatt has never heard of him, but something tells the Earp brothers they will.
Alex names the former mission, the Clandestine Action Lawful Information Bounty Enforcement Regiment – CALIBER.
