IPhone vs. android

First, some people are confused of what they should buy from the market, an iPhone or an android? Some people would argue that the two are different in many ways. But when looking closely at the new iPhone 4s and the Android sells you can see that there are minimal differences. In this research I am going to state the similarities and differences of these two software’s. This research will include the screen size and definition, the processer, and the operating system of each (e.g. texting, images, voice recording, etc.) Second, the iPhone and Android both have high definition screens in their own way. The Android has a 4.8 inch screen which was the first high definition screen for galaxy. However the iPhone for instance has a 3.5 inch screen with retina display. The both have great technology but due to the original iPhone screen, it gave more clarity and brightness. Some customers prefer a larger screen while others prefer more detailed images. Third, the iPhone’s icon interface is simple to understand and to operate. The rows of icons allow easy access to all of the downloaded applications and preloaded icons. The iPhone’s pull down notification system allows you to see what updates you have for your applications, social networking sites, and keeps you up to date on weather. On the other hand Android phones interface system allows you to do more from the notification system. When in the notification area of some of the HTC Android phones you can change the phone settings and switch between applications. Android phones use widgets that allow you to switch between different applications and see different information on one

In contrast, Androids are designed for more business-centered communication, whereas Apple promotes a more media-centered communication. An example of this is that one of the main features of the iPhone series is their music and gaming capabilities; Androids do also have these features, however, do not highlight them as much. The Android Company was first created in 2003, but was relatively an unknown company until Google bought the company in August of 2005. It is thought that Google was, at the time, planning to enter into the realm of the ‘hand held mobile device’ wars…

I was able to pick up the iPhone and quickly, easily understand what’s going on. It's got one main button on the front of the device, and everything you do consists of tapping app icons from the home screen. However, the Android had several buttons on the front of the device that perform a variety of functions, and once I unlock the screen, I was confronted with many different possible home screens and ways of doing things from those home screens.…

The first generation of the Apple iPhone was released in 2007. Ever since 2007, there have been five generations of the iPhone, with the newest being released in October of 2012. With being an Apple fan as well as an owner to an iPhone, I personally encourage people to join the iPhone fan club. With an iPhone everything is touch screen, meaning that with the taps of your fingers, the person will be able to access something that is so much more to them than just their phone. Apple iPhones have the capabilities to do many different tasks. For example, instead of having a “menu” screen, like many cell phones, as well as some Android phones, there are many applications, referred to as ‘apps’, that one can find only in the Apple iStore. With apps, they are squares that are on the main screen of one’s phone and according to what type of person or what one is using their phone for, determines what type of applications should go on the mobile device. The possibilities are endless when having an iPhone, the apps range in affordable prices, and also feature the Top 100 Free Apps, which is also extremely convenient. With the iPhone, everything…

The Android and IPhone can be two very different devices when it comes to software and performance. Android is an open source, made by google to where the phone maker can put their own twist on it, if they choose. Open source means that the software is open for change. For example, different software includes: jellybean, ice cream sandwich, honeycomb, froyo, éclair, donut, and cupcake (Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo 1). Google wanted a different name for their software and not just the standard names so they came up with desserts in alphabetical order as their software names (Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo 1). In essence, you will rarely see two different types of android with the exact same software but the same base of software powered by google (IPhone vs. Android 3). IPhone has a more unified platform; iPhone has Apples software. The software for iPhones are the same on every new iPhone that comes out. It includes the MobileMe, which allows users to sync what is on their phone to their other apple products; that way you do not have to reenter and retype information that is on your phone into your iPad (iPhone vs. Android 3). In contrast Android is made up of mostly Google based software and there is always a tie to google somewhere within the android. Whereas the iPhone has certain…

One major similarity between the iPhone and Android phones is their shape. For example, all models of the iPhone have been similar in shape, which can be noted in their rectangular shape and rounded corners. This exact shape can also be seen in many of the Android phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy and HTC Evo. iPhones and Android phones have also been noted for their large touch screens occupying the majority of the front space of the phone, and their job in navigation in place of traditional buttons seen on non-smart phones. Though the trend of this rectangular shape, rounded corners, and large screen has lead to many disputes regarding who had originally designed the structure, manufacturers continue to use this as the basic structure for their smart phones.…
