Loving a person isn’t about logic or reason.
(Paradise Kiss) Is there a limit to how much you can love somebody? No matter how much I hurt him or get hurt by him, I find myself far from hating him, actually hoping that those wounds will scar, like burns…because then you can never forget me.
Kamijou Hiroki (Junjou Romantica) Everyone goes around trying to find their soulmate, but no matter how hard they look, they can never find it. So instead, they force two bodies together. Everyone wants to use that short time they have together to open their hearts, even if it’s just a one night dream bought with money
Lawrence Hill (Boy’s Next Door) There is only one person who you can each truly love. It’s too bad that you can’t change who that person is. If you could, the you both would be a lot happier.
Arisugawa Juri (Revolutionary Girl Utena) I was younger then, I wasn’t afraid of anything, I didn’t think about dying for a second. I thought I was invincible. Then I met some girl. In efforts to contain communism, the United States created the Containment Policy. This US Policy was put into effect as response to a series of moves by the Soviet Union to expand and spread throughout Eastern Europe, China, Korea and Vietnam. The doctrine was written by George F. Kennan an American diplomat, in the year 1946. The idea was that if superpower Soviet Union can be contained, Soviet troops would be forced to push back in effort to update their priorities. Four “tools” made the Containment Policy strong enough to prevail and push Soviet troops back, avoiding a third world war and soon ending the Cold War.…

When two people choose to forge an interpersonal involvement through communication and believe the bond to be romantic, they have chosen to be in a romantic relationship with one another. In the beginning, being in a romantic relationship seems effortless, magical, and exhilarating. This is before conflict arises and negative emotions cause things to get real and bring the relationship down from cloud nine. While enjoying the initial stages of the relationship is important, it is also imperative that the two individuals are simultaneously building a foundation of appreciation, respect, forgiveness, and trust. Without this effort, once the “honeymoon stage” is over, the relationship will most likely crumble and leave both partakers hurt and confused (McCornack 326). However, if effective communication is executed and both partners share the desire to be together, the challenges of misunderstanding one another and accepting shortcomings can be surmounted and a successful romantic relationship can be achieved.…

The threshold to the infinite definition of love is many. Although many cynics like me, may have thought it impossible, sociologists over the past several decades have been attempting to categorize and quantify the notion of love. Sternberg in 1986 sees love in terms of the interaction among three independent aspects: passion, intimacy (two components of love that many of us need no help in identifying or do I dare say practicing?) and the “C” word that sends many of us rushing to the door faster than the politicians can flip-flop on their policies, COMMITMENT. Yes, I said it. A whisper of the word is all that is needed to make many of us quake in fear. The intensity of each of the three aspects tells us how a relationship can be characterized. According to Sternberg, he defines liking as the type of…
