Every instrument is in a different key when it is made, some are made in the same key so when a note is played it could sound the same, but it most likely will sound a little different due to different octaves. There is a universal group of scales called the major scales when played by a band it will sound the same, but the key effects which scale that instrument will play to make the correct sound. An instrument in the key of E flat would play the B scale when told to play the B flat major scale. The alto has high fast paced music that makes you heart race. Most of the music is 8th and 16th notes but can get up to 32nd notes on a sophisticated,challenging song. Bari music is low and slow very very dark and warm felt deeply. Mostly whole and half notes 16th notes are possible but only on sophisticated,challenging songs. Bari saxophones aren't very common in most bands if they are small. Altos are much higher pitched than the bari, mostly high notes are played so they reach up very high on a staff.
