organising meetings/documents. Administration is also someone who is responsible for responding promptly to enquiries, researching information, sending and receiving messages, purchasing supplies of office stationery and making arrangements for events.
Customer Service
People who work in customer service are responsible for answering enquiries about products and services, providing specialist information and advice, solving customer problems, and providing after sales service.
They are also responsible for dealing with complaints, analysing customer records of complaints to solve problems and using customer feedback.
Distribution
People who are in charge of distribution are responsible for ensuring goods are appropriately stored before dispatch, goods are securely packed and labelled, and checking loads are secure, goods are delivered on time and checking deliveries match orders. They are also responsible for completing delivery documents, planning routes, and scheduling, notifying sales staff so customers can be informed and dealing with logistic issues – breakdowns.
Finance
Producing invoices, checking payments, chasing overdue payments. Recording monies received. Checking and paying invoices. Monitoring dep t budgets. Issuing cash flow forecasts. Advising on sources of finance. Producing statutory accounts each year.
