ABSTRACT: Amazing Deals Auto Mart (ADAM) adalah peritel nasional dari model mobil pre-owned kelas atas. Karena perubahan dalam industri dan ekonomi, manajemen senior berkaitan dengan perlambatan penagihan dan pinjaman macet, dan kekhawatiran ADAM akan memenuhi perkiraan laba alysts tahun 2005 yang disepakati. Anda diminta untuk menganalisis data piutang dan penyisihan piutang ragu-ragu untuk menilai kemungkinan manajemen laba. Anda juga diharuskan untuk melakukan analisis keuangan dua alternatif pembiayaan (sekuritisasi dan pinjaman sekuritas) yang sedang mempertimbangkan untuk ADAM memperoleh kas dari piutang dan untuk menentukan dampaknya terhadap laporan keuangan dan rasionya.

CASE
Amazing Deals Auto Mart (ADAM or the Company) adalah peritel nasional mobil pra-memiliki menjual kendaraan model kualitas tinggi keluaran terakhir, seperti Audi, BMW, Lexus, dan Mercedes. Perusahaan ini didirikan sepuluh tahun yang lalu oleh Greg Raines, CEO, dan go public lima tahun yang lalu. Operasi 31 superstore mobil bekas di 20 negara, dengan penjualan diproyeksikan melebihi $ 2 milyar pada 2005, ADAM dianggap sebagai perusahaan berkembang dan pemimpin dalam industri otomotif. Sejak saat IPO ADAM di tahun 2001, pendapatan dan laba hampir dua kali lipat.
