I:BACKGROUND OF THE AUTHOR:
Tara FT Sering is the author of five books published in the Philippines.She is currently editing an art magazine Contemporary Art Philippines in Manila and is working on a new book.(Amazing Grace pp.194)Almost Married:A novel about Love, Longing,and last Hurrahs, Between Dinner and the Morning After, Amazing Grace, Reconnaissance, and Getting Better.

II:SUMMARY OF THE STORY:
The story starts when Grace met Mike.At the age of 27,Grace felt the feeling of getting obsessed to find her match in life.She just spend her life teaching young kids,going out with her bestie’s,sleeps,making Lesson Plans then eat.She felt bored and the moment she asked herself to find the best way in her life.And that lead to her to her dreams :having a wonderful married life with kids at all. The twist starts when her sister Lena planned to make a dinner date .She asked Grace for the plan and surprisingly accept it. And the Day comes to her.He met Mike Martinez,a cute guy that she decided that she is getting in love with the guy.With only eight days after they met,two years after they were engaged .The story leads in a wrong way when Mike unexpectedly assigned to Singapore for his business plans .This made a great impact to Grace, where she is busy making ideas on their future wedding. The guy agreed to fly off to Singapore where he met this blonde-long legged girl Kaela.As Mike dropped by to Singapore, the two simply lead to getting to know each other.While Grace can’t even take a sleep as the Day passed by.She abruptly decided to fly off to Singapore too.Where she smells something happening in a wrong way, Grace got paranoid all the time.Even at Mike’s Profile ,she surprisingly seen the girl who blonde in color,and legged.That girl is always appeared in all Mike’s

    In her last semester, Anna got a job as a secretary for Greenwood Mills. Later after she graduated, she got a job as a sales representative with Talon Zippers. Out of all of the employers across the country, Anna was the only women. When Anna was twenty-four years old, Talon Zippers held a contest to see who could sell the most zippers, and Anna surprised everybody by winning. As a result, she was flown out to go watch the Super Bowl as a prize. While she was doing a report, Anna met her husband, Charlie Nobile, during a business program. At the time, he was a buyer for JC Penny, and Anna asked him if she could interview him. Shortly after the interview, they started dating. After five years, when Anna was twenty-nine, he finally proposed. The couple planned and paid for the whole wedding and got married in 1979. Because Maria had to provide fir her family, like many of those Dominican women from “Reaching the promised Land:, Maria is not finishing school and contemplating college, she is working in a flower shop removing thorns from roses with a controlling boss in a sweatshop environment. She handed her paycheck over to her family with disregard to her own personal needs. Maria’s family is dependent on her wages as a form of survival. When Maria finds out she is pregnant, she decides she wants a better life for her unborn child. She is fed up with how her boss treats her so she quits, and faces the guilt from her family. When she is presented with the opportunity earn 5,000 US dollars, the risks are not seen as being relevant. For a better life for her baby, she risk her and her baby’s life as a drug transporter.
