Amendment 2: Should Gun be controlled ? One issue that many Americans have been very concerned and had a debate on is gun control. The argument is about should gun be more strictly control and regulate by the government. There are both supporters and those who opposing the idea. Gun control issue had make it a very big deal in the nation to both private and public organizations including public schools and it also mostly affects those in the negative ways. The government should have more power in gun controlling to for many reasons but two main ones would be that it gives people a safer society to live as well as a more organized society. Discussing legally about the issue, the second amendment in the constitution would be the
one that should be focussing on. The amendment talks about how gun should be controlled and regulated by the government and who should have the right to carrying a gun in their property. Gun control system is usually varies from states to states, but the issues start when the federal government have made a states about gun violence and decide that guns should be more strictly controlled in order to solve the problem. This create tension because they people agree and disagree, and some people believed that it is their right and freedom that have been given by the constitution though the second amendment, while some worried about their safety as well as the everybody else’s and considered the problem that caused by such weapons. This problem is very important to high school students as much as the adults because they have been affected by this problem no less than people with different age range. Many thinks that gun control is abusing their right and freedom, many still think that gun is dangerous to the environment and anyone who own it.
According to the article carrying a firearm put community at risk , the author states “ Before we give a law enforcement officer the responsibility of carrying a firearm, we require that officer to extensive training” (Horwitz 1). The author is trying to say that carrying and using a gun is not for everybody or anybody who wishes to have it but for those who is ready and have been prepared for certain situation such as the officer. Moreover, Horwitz or the author says that” If you want to use firearm in your house, the risk is primarily to yourself and your family” ( Horwitz 1). This also saying that firearm can and will put anybody who used it at risk and not just that, people around them would be affected too, especially their family. The source that have been used in this paragraph is reliable and relevant because it directly talked about gun problems and how important it is to carefully controlling guns. He also gives some points that states why it is dangerous to the society. It is important to anyone who consider to own or use a gun that it can and will be risky and by means the government should have the power to control over who should have and buying
one. In addition, the effect of guns that have on the society mostly are in the negative ways and because of that United wouldn’t be able to fully organized itself the way it should be. According to Horwitz, he says “ carrying a loaded gun in public is therefore a privilege that can and should be regulated by the state for the benefit of all” ( Horwitz 2). The statement that the author used is directly from the second amendment of the constitution that basically saying that it is not wrong to own or using a gun but the state government should have the right to fully control the process of selling and buying one. This is to make sure that everyone have the right to stay safe and secure by the protection of the government when it says to the benefit of all. Based on another source, one of the articles about gun violence by CNN says “During his presidency, Barack Obama had deliver statement on gun violence regularly ” (Simon, Sanchez 2). This illustrate the problem that guns has on the U.S. society, it is a nation wide problem, and this is giving the government a hard time to control and organize the country.The source is relevant because it talks gun violence and amendment about gun control.Overall, this conclude that the U.S. government should take a serious action on gun control since it create problem it the society. Although, many supports gun control but there are those are those who think that they should have a gun because thy will be more safe with it. In the CNN article says “ The idea being that shootings cause people to worry about their safety and buy a gun to protect themselves” (Simon, Sanchez 2). Because the problem was that people afraid of the incident that have happened and thinking to carry a weapons would make to be able to protect themselves. The counter argument to this is that people forget to think about that the problem was also from people who own guns, and having one isn’t going to help anyone but hurting themselves even more.Another reason why people feels they should be free to own a gun is because they’re not the one who created the problem. The same article also says “ Statistic show that most murders in the U.S. are not part of the mass shootings’’(Simon1). Since the problem wasn’t on them there is no reason that they have to give up their privilege to anyone. To counter the argument. The problem might didn’t directly come from those who legally owning guns but the fact is again having them is not going to solve any problem to anyone. The government should regulate gun control to reduce the problem with gun violence along the side it will give U.S.
to be a safer place to live in. The issue is is very controversial to all Americans and it is an issue that have been argued over and over and it is the time that it should be solves. Based on many sources the conclusion is drawn this way because many factual evidences and viewpoints have shown that guns have create many problems to the country, therefore it should be controlled. This is important to anyone who care about themselves and their love one, and so they should start thinking about how this issue should be
solved.
