America And Brazil Similarities
The government of Brazil and America are both similar and different at the same time. Brazil was run as a monarchy up until 1988 when it developed into a federal republic and then created separate state powers. Brazil gained its independence in 1822 from Portugal. The government set up includes an executive, judicial, and legislative branch. The country is run by president, Michel Temer. America and Brazil have differences and similarities in their government that make them both unique. There are numerous similarities between the government of Brazil and of the United States. In Brazil, to vote you need to 18, both men and women, unemployed or employed can vote; however, it is mandatory for employed men and women to vote. In America it is not mandatory for anyone to vote, a person only needs to be at the age of 18 or older with no further requirements.
