America Persuasive Speech
"Thank you so much. It’s so great to be here in Iowa today. As the former Governor of Alaska, I graciously lend my support as a formal endorsement for the great Donald J. Trump!
America, since its conception, has always been a great superpower around the world. We remain respected, revered, and even feared by countries around the world. However, now, I regretfully say that that is not the case anymore. For the past 8 years, America wallowed under the command of a weak-kneed, cowardly leadership. In these 8 years, America has been insulted, mocked, and for the first time, looked down upon.
As Americans, it is in our blood to strive for freedom, liberty and when others step on our freedom and humiliate our veterans, there must be consequences.

America was once a great country. People looked at this nation as the “land of opportunity,” because of the unlimited potential that could be reached by even the poorest. Now, America has a disreputable notoriety due to its constant mistakes. A continuous list of numerous incidents, hypocrisies, involvements, and self destructive factors have not only negatively shaped the minds of its own people, but also the rest of the world. This nation has created chaos in the Middle East, piled a massive amount of debt, violated its very own constitution and lost its integrity.…

These controversies tarnished America’s image at the peak of its world power. America traditionally views the nation as a city on a hill, but foreign governments and citizens saw a Washington arrogant with power and indifferent to problems such as global warming, mass starvation in Africa, AIDs, and weapon proliferation. It was clear that the unipolar order was far from a harmony of interest, let alone a universal embrace of American…

America, a nation built upon the values of ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,' has been referred to as the most powerful country in the world. While some people praise the U.S. for this great triumph, others resent it. And despite this obvious victory, many of America's leaders and policymakers suffer from an ‘inferiority complex,' often feeling the need to act in ways that make the U.S. seem more superior. The actions exerted by America are reminiscent of a very outdated practice, called imperialism. This term has recently brought upon many arguments concerning the United States as an empire, particularly in the character and logic of U.S. domination that is at issue. America should not assert its economic, military, and cultural…

Thinking critically about the question of America as a super power caused me to ask questions like why do so many people feel like America is declining, and who is making these statements? I found that the majority of this type of statement is coming straight from very biased media. This sort of opinionated media coverage is typically right wing propaganda that uses…

When Francis Scott Key wrote the star spangled banner almost two hundred years ago, he called America "the land of the free and the home of the brave." Those words still stand strong today as they did back then. Throughout our history American soldiers, marines, air force, and coastguards have answered to defend for our freedom and rights. That is why we as Americans should respect our veterans and thank them for what they have done for all of…

As ever-changing as our world is, a certain change has swept the country, if not the world. Sexuality has seen quite the uptick since the days of our grandparents and, quite obviously, we all know what comes from the intimate contact between lovers. Yes, the crying at 4 A.M, dirty diapers, and the cause of empty pockets. I’m referring to children. A baby! A miracle in every sense of every synonym of the word. On the other hand, Miraculous for those who are ready, a nightmare for the unprepared. Many use condoms or birth control in the light of the sexual acceptance by society protocol today and it works! Unfortunately, these are no guarantee at a baby free experience. One day she has stomach pain. Must be nothing, right? A few days pass,…

The collective narrative of the United States, albeit still being written, is at the very least fascinating. Nowhere in the history of humanity is there another example of a nation being born purely out of ideology and belief. Margaret Thatcher iconically conveyed this reality by stating “Europe was created by history. America was created by philosophy.” Viewing the United States from this perspective is not done often, but its experimental nature is undeniable after being careful considered. There are many things that could have prevented America from becoming the global superpower that it is today, and when contemplating these possible deterrents, the persistent good fortune of America is clear.…

It is easily conceivable that American exceptionalism has not been embraced by other countries. This is because that U.S. foreign policy and its lack of consistency based on exceptionalism, which claims American supremacy and missionary role, are effortlessly translated into “moral arrogance” (Davis and Lynn-Jones, 1987, p.31). However, the scepticism towards American exceptionalism has also become pervasive among American public, who once deeply believed in it. According to Pew Research Center, only 28% of the American public considers their country as the greatest country in the world, with a sharp decline from 38% in 2011 (Tyson, 2014). The survey shows that the trend is observed among every age groups but particularly obvious among younger…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…
