( Everyone stands back )
Narrator- It is December 16, 1773, when thousands of angry colonists came together at the old South Church, in Boston Massachusetts. this was the beginning towards freedom for our soon to be nation , the United States of America.
( Samuel Adams is standing in the middle of the room surrounded by the colonists )
Samuel Adams- Friends ! Colonists one and all ! England and King George III, are asking for taxes on our favorite drink, tea !
Colonist 1- why do we have to pay taxes for England when it is miles away from us ?
Colonist 2- that's crazy !
Colonist 3- we should do something about this !
Colonist 4 – England will never do anything for us, so now why should we give them our …show more content…
Colonist 3- just the fact that they want control over us makes me so angry ! WE OUGHT TO HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE FREE !
Samuel Adams –Their ship must not come to our land, if it does, we must destroy it ! Are you with me ?
Crowd- Hear, hear !!
( Colonists 1-5 walk down center of room and stand beside Samuel Adams )
Colonists 1-5- We are the Daughters of Liberty !
Colonist 4 - Tonight, the Boston Harbor will become an enormous teacup ! Narrator- That night, the colonists, disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and went to Boston's harbor with the ships that were loaded with tea. Little did they know, that their actions would change history forever.
Scene 2- In the Ship
Narrator- The British crew was sleeping, when they heard a noise coming from the outside of the ship. One of the crew members woke up, and saw the Indians climbing aboard the ship.
Crewman 1- Wake up ! Wake up ! Indians are stealing all the tea !
Crewman 2- Indians ? Let's stop them !
( crew members walk towards the Indians)
Colonist 1- Throw all the tea into the sea !
Colonist 2- I hate this tea ! Don't leave a single box on the ship !
Colonist 3- Let's hurry up before we are spotted
