Mickey Mouse and Ronald McDonald have quite a bit in common besides their contribution to modern pop culture. Both parties play a large role in many lives around the world, especially those in America. The characters are well-known mascots for their respective companies, Mickey to Disney and Ronald to McDonald's. Another similarity that they both share is that they both contribute to blind populations from dark and or events around the world. Using entertainment as their weapon, mascots representing their companies brush social movements, wars, and other events outside of America away from the eyes of their consumers.

The gray tone of the picture nulls and invalidate all colors that were once in the characters. Micky’s red clothing changed into a dull, dingy gray. Ronald's prominent red wig lost its color and life from the hue of gray. Though, the color of the girl remains the same gray tone it had when the picture of her was first captured. The gray hue of the image cast a type of “ unsettling feelings...often associated with loss or depression.” (Bourn). While both of the infamous characters of pop culture are known for their happiness and joy , the gray colors dull out the intent emotion that both were meant to give. Even so in the context of the image, the two still overshadow the little girl. All at the same while, the emotion of the little girl overpowers the two characters. As the lingering feeling looms over it as situations or social events are often pushed aside to avoid the pain so consumers can continue to consume joy from the pop culture
