Gone in the process is the old chapter 6, "Material Other Than Journal Articles," which was very useful to students. The rest is not much missed, a combination of 1960s era chapters and wasteful whitespace. It is crisp, new, and much easier to use as a result. It will guide you through the process of using Digital Object Identifiers in references and explain the new style of headings. The section on avoiding bias is still the best found anywhere. See what 's changed at www.apastyle.org. | The previous edition of the APA Manual advised students that "the Publication Manual is not intended to cover scientific writing at an undergraduate level" (APA, 2001, p. 322).
