300 miles per hour, winds so fast they could blow anything away in an instant. Houses, trees, cars and loved ones gone, just like that. That was the case for many people all over the U.S. These horrible disasters cause are one of mother nature's deadliest forces. They are called tornadoes. Some of these tornadoes names are the tri state tornado, Natchez tornado, St. Louis tornado.
The third most deadliest tornado is the St. Louis tornado.The St. louis tornado formed on May 27, 1896 it hit Missouri and Illinois. The tornado was a supercell, that was an EF-4 tornado.This tornado was about 207-260 miles per hour when it struck.the disaster killed 255 people and injured 1000. the damage total was about 3.8 billion dollars. the tornado lasted 20 mins, but it was the worst 20 minutes of terror. The worst part of this is that this isn’t the worst tornado.
The seconded worst tornado was the Natchez tornado.
This tornado was formed along the Mississippi River in Louisiana and Mississippi. It hit Louisiana and Mississippi on May 6, 1840. this tornado was an EF-5, that is the highest category in fastest tornadoes.this storm was in between 261-318 miles per hour. The tornado killed 317 people and injured 109 others. The damage cost about 1 billion dollars to repair all of the homes and buildings that were destroyed during the tornado. This was a horrible disaster but not the worst in U.S. history.
The worst tornado in U.S was the Tri- state tornado. this tornado obviously got its name from how many states it destroyed. The states that were affected by the tornado were Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana the tornado landed on March 18,1925. the tornado was a F5 tornado, That is the top rank tornado. The disaster killed about 695 people and injured 2,027 others. The damage was about 17 million in property damage the speed of the storm was 260 miles per hour. This tornado was the worst of its kind to many people.
Tornados can be one of the most dangerous disaster in history the can kill they can destroy and they can break people's heart figuratively and literally.you shold always know wat to do during a disaster just like this you should always have a escape plan and beaware of all types of
