Americans With Disability Act (ADA): A Case Study
Disability under the Americans with disability Act(ADA) can be defined as (1) “physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities (2) a record of such impairment; and (3) a perception of such of such impairment” (Swanson, 2016, p.374).
Reasonable accommodations can be defined as: “employer may tell applicants what the selection process consists of and whether they will need a reasonable accommodation by the employer. Examples of selection accommodations include large-print examinations and scheduling a wheelchaired applicants’ interview on the first floor rather than the second floor where there is no elevator. After a conditional job offer is extended, employers may ask whether a reasonable accommodation
