1. What are your thoughts about the table called “America’s Balance Sheet” on page 55, do you think the author missed any assets or liabilities?
2. What are your thoughts on the projection that China will surpass the United States by 2030 in regards to global GDP?
3. If America does falter in the future, do agree with Brzezinski that the world would not gain a new leader, instead, it would fall into chaos? If so, what will the chaos look like, numerous strategic global alliances, or regional arrangements? If not, who do you think will become the next great power?

First of all, I believe that the notion of the natural behavior of the economy (the economic cycle) supports my statement strongly because of the juxtaposition of the states at which the two countries are in. Now, America is in recession and is emerging into the expansion period. This means the economy is starting to improve and move towards the Boom state whereas, China’s economy (now experiencing a boom) may continue to grow at a slower rate as it moves towards the contraction era. Therefore, it is likely that in 10 years the situation will be reversed with the expectations that China’s nominal GDP will start to decrease while America’s will start to increase. As Bo Bonnett once said, “as sure as the spring will follow the winter, prosperity and economic growth will follow recession.”…

But it was during territory of World War II that the US had actually entered the new debt era. In 1941 federal debt had zoomed from its starting point at 45 percent of GDP up to reaching around 119 percent of GDP in 1946 after the end of the war followed by the state and local debt of next 7 percent addition to it. The U.S. debt is over $14.5 trillion, and is the sum of all outstanding debt owed by the Federal Government. Nearly two-thirds is the public debt, which is owed to the people, businesses and foreign governments who bought Treasury bills, notes and bonds. The rest is owed by the government to itself, and is held as Government Account securities. Most of this is owed to Social Security and other trust funds, which were running surpluses. These securities are a promise to repay these funds when Baby Boomers retire over the next 20 years. The U.S. debt is the largest in the world. How did it get so large? Purchasers of Treasury bills still reasonably expect the U.S. economy to recover enough to pay them back. For foreign investors like China…

One thought comes to mind when writing this paper and it is how lucky and blessed we are. The only way to understand the feeling in that statement would be understanding what autism is and the characteristics of an individual living with autism. In this paper I will discuss the history, causes and treatments of autism. Starting with how the word autism originates from the Greek word autos which defines "self”. When I refer to “self” in autism I mean how someone can live like nothing is going on in the world around it and is to oneself. Autism has been studied through a group of children who were observed as having behavioral problems and communication problems and were very self-absorbed. For years’ autism is used to label children with developmental disorder which mean lack of communication skills and behavioral issues.…

China is on the verge of surpassing all known growth records. To begin with, far from being a slowly emerging economic force, it is already the world’s third largest economy trailing only USA and Japan but not for much longer. By the year 2015 it could be the world’s largest. But of course the size of the economy does not equate to standard of living. Within china itself, the major growth is taking place in the coastal regions where roughly one quarter of the population lives, a total of 300 million people, where income is set to grow at 11% a year for the next ten years. To quote Lee Kuan Yew, formerly Prime Minister of Singapore, ‘never in human histories have so many grown so rich so fast’.…
