America's Role In World War II
The United States entered the war on the side of the Allies after Japanese attacked the US naval base at Pearl Harbor on the morning of December 7th, l941. World War II was fought between the Axis, which included Germany, Italy and Japan, and the Allied included Britain, United States, Soviet Union and France. More than 50 million people died during the war. It was the most terrible war in the history of humanity. Since America entered the war suddenly after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, many people left their jobs and went to the military, which helped to end unemployment crisis cause by The Great Depression since many jobs opened and had high demand. Aircraft played major roles in the World War II including fighters, bombers, and transport
