There is no reason to believe that Amerigo did not murder those people. There is proof in the letter that he has written to me. Here is a direct quote, “They advanced towards us, and we fought for about an hour, for we had but little advantage of them, except that our arbalesters and gunners killed some of them, and they wounded certain of our men.” Right there he said it, he murdered them with the help of his crew. His voyages were funded by King Manuel, so could he have wanted this? Did Amerigo want to do this, because he sure sounds awfully accomplished in the letter he sent me. They did not seem to accomplish anything for Spain, either. The only thing they seemed to do on their voyage was find some new land, yet not even claim it or create anything on it. The only thing they did there was murder the natives of the land. Amerigo and his crew only lost 1 man from fighting with the natives, and 22 were injured. Countless numbers of natives were slaughtered by them. Amerigo finally left of whoever was remaining of the natives, and sailed back to Spain with over 200
