AmFAR: The Foundation of Aids Research
AmFar: The Foundation of Aids Research iditifies critical gaps about our knowledge of HIV/AIDS. Amfar is adavancing efforts to prevent HIV infection in those who are vulnerable and to improve treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS. The goal being to find a cure for the virus. AmFAR’s programs such as TREAT ASIA and public information educate the public on awareness for treatment and prevention methods.
Through my research and analysis of AmFAR , I have found that this organization is funded through Bloomingdales, Delta Airlines, Kiehl’s, Louis Vuitton, MAC comestics, Sotheby’s, The Weinstien Company and Wells Fargo. They all should be renewed for the following year. They gave great donations for advancement in this organization. AmFAR’s programs are evolving and we are getting so close to finding a cure for HIV/AIDS. We know more about the virus then ever before. We can not afford to get behind.
AmFar has about 4 different programs. The TREAT Asia program works with clinics, hospitals and institutions to make sure the doctors and physicians treat patients safely and effectively for treatment of HIV/AIDS throughout Asia and the Pacific. The GMT initiative program tries to reduce the worldwide rate of HIV infection among the gay community. The public policy program is always looking to increase investments in HIV/AIDS research. The public information program raises awareness for better treatment and prevention methods.
I think that all of AmFar’s programs are important. AmFAR is the world’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, and treatment education. We have advanced so much since the organization has been in existence.
