Amigo Brothers Analysis

Amigo Brothers In the reading ‘Amigos Brothers’ by Piri Thomas it has a story about two boys named Antonio and Felix ,they are best friends. They both wanted be champions on being boxers and turned out fighting each other. In this story it has many literary terms (mood,author's point of view,ect.) The author’s intent/purpose is to entertain the reader.It entertains the reader by showing the conflict between the two characters,Felix and Antonio.It shows how both characters have to fight in a boxing match.It shows every movement they take like”Antonio struggled up his feet,got up,ducked,and threw a smashing right that dropped felix on his back.” That really entertained me as a reader, and was one of the key points that made me say Antonio
is gonna win. ‘Things should not get in the way with your friendship.’ This is the theme that comes up to my head, while reading this. I thought about this, because when Felix and Antonio needed to fight each other for championship they separated to concentrated on the fight and not each other. This caused them to miss each other and become nervous. In the third round of the fight they stopped and walked away from the net together as friends. The point of view is third person.It shows felix perspective, and some of Antonio's perspective.It shows how Felix was really worried how he was gonna hurt Antonio,but in the end Antonio managed to put up a good fight against Felix.Felix even though seeing himself in a ring being the victor of the fight.It really shows how Felix thinks he's gonna win the fight,but he really doesn't know.
The mood in this story is very intense.The whole story is like a roller coaster.When the two boys,Antonio and Felix fight they separate and the mood of the story becomes interesting and like mystery on who is going to win the fight.
