Amish Men Bathe By The Shore Analysis
When analyzing the piece, I had an inclination that the twenty-eight men were Amish. Amish men rarely get the chance to visit the shore, and thus they came across friendly and enjoyable. The textual evidence which possibly supports this claim is the beginning part where it says, “… young men bathe by the shore.” Amish men have been known to bathe in lakes, springs, and rivers because they are natural and not effected by electric. The next part was, “The beards of the young men…” it is a well-known fact that Amish men grow beards in correspondence with religion and marital status.
