Abstract:
Plants play a vital role in the production of most medicine and drugs. Extracts of different plants are known to have therapeutic effects. Synthetics and pharmaceuticals are based on natural compounds first found on plants, bacteria and fungi. About 40% of all prescribed drugs are derived from natural substances composed of scientifically developed synthetic drugs (Valencia, 2008).
The skin is made up of thousands of tissues and its outer covering (epidermis) serves as a protector against germs. The skin is exposed to millions of germs, thus, it can easily get rid of germs that can cause allergies or other skin problems.
The ampalaya (Momordica charantia) plant growing all over the country is seemingly known not just as nutritious vegetable but also nowadays as a commercial medicine against diabetes. The researchers have been looking for the antibacterial property of the ampalaya (Momordica charantia) plant particularly its leaves.
In this project, the researchers attempt to create another product which is less expensive than any other commercial product and it will not harm our skin.

The skin, which appears to be so thin, is still itself divided into epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous layer or hypodermis. Each layer has it own function and own importance in maintaining the integrity of skin and thereby the whole body structure.…
