Abstract

Now days, the world becomes a one village. Although, there are different kinds of management styles and cultures impact on business management in the world, employees needs to increase their awareness to achieve the organisation targets. Awareness of cross-cultural management includes procedures and policies that are relate to the management of any organisation or workforce with different cultural and background. According to Adler (citied in Soderberg &Holden 2002) "cross cultural management studies the behaviour of people in organisation around the world and trains people to work in organisation with employee and client population. It describes organisational behaviour within countries and cultures; compares organisational behaviour across cultures and countries: and perhaps, most importantly, seek to understand and improve the interaction of co-workers, clients, suppliers, and alliance partners from different countries and cultures. Cross cultures management thus expands the scope of domestic management to encompass the international and multicultural spheres". Thus, the cross cultural awareness is considered an importance issue in banking industry in Saudi Arabia because this sector has been increased globally and relies on international experts. The purpose of this report is to analyse the importance of cultural awareness in the banking sector in Saudi Arabia. To assist bankers management promote their awareness and cope with new challenges facing managers by globalisation.
