“Revolution”, the single version, was recorded in the studio in July 1968. Originally, The Beatles recorded “Revolution” as a combination of “Revolution 1” and “Revolution 9”, written by John Lennon, for the White Album that was released later that year. Eventually, “Revolution 1” and “Revolution 9” were split into two tracks. “Revolution 1” was suppose to be the next single from the group. However, McCartney and Harrison had objections to the track for it’s tempo was too slow to be a single. After some objection from Lennon, they re-recorded the track at a moderate tempo and with heavily distorted electric guitars. The song became a raw, raucous, and feverous rock single. This outspoken and feverish single stands as one of Lennon’s first…
With change considered at every level, what’s typical is getting people to act differently from their old ways. In most cases, people volunteer to change though one might think people are always resisting change. For example, parents welcoming newly born babies and accepting the change.…

Molly Peskin-Suso has had almost thirty crushes throughout her life; however, she is very awkward nothing ever happens with any of them. Meanwhile, her sister Cassie is very social and outgoing—she has never been in a genuine relationship either. The Upside of Unrequited states, “There’s a reason I’ve had twenty-six crushes and no boyfriends. I don’t entirely understand how anyone gets a boyfriend” (Albertalli 15). Molly is seventeen years old and has been very disappointed that she has not had her first kiss. Despite this, she still get to have fun with her sister and friends—even when they all end up in a relationship. “Tear in My Heart says, “Sometimes you gotta bleed to know; That you’re alive and have a soul” (Twenty One Pilots 1-2). In the song, line “Sometimes you gotta bleed to know” relates to Molly because she often feels left out or depressed because she wants a relationship and none of her crushes ever notice her. The next line “That you’re alive and have a soul” relates to her…
Change is an inevitable process of life and can be the most complexing and difficult thing we come to face in our lives. It is something we must overcome in many aspects, shapes and forms. However in whatever form it comes our way, we must embrace it and not be afraid because a fear of change can lead to an unfulfilled life. In my opinion change is a very complex thing and can be embraced though it is a hard process it is also a fact of life. The Catcher in the Rye, The Door and Dead Poets Society contributed to my new understanding of change.…

To adapt to a changing world, progress must be made to socially accommodate this change. For any Progressive change to be made, someone must fight back against something wrong, or another words, be disobedient. As the Irish author Oscar Wilde one stated “it is through disobedience that progressive change has been made” and this natural human trait of disobedience is a catalyst for Progressive change.…
Throughout the history of the world there have been many changes. Changes are only natural for a person, society, or government to go through. At certain time changes have come and gone in big ways. Wars have been fought and people have died, over changes.…
With this information, it burdens me to think that the amount of people in the world with the desire to change, to make a difference, to be the voice of change is quite small and quite silent. In today’s society, the new part of the New World is already…
Many people believe that humans can’t change the world especially when they say they can. At the same time there are many people that believe humans can change the world that they want to live in if they set their mind to it. All throughout history there is evidence that shows that one person is strong enough to change the world. For example reformers in Germany and Italy. Many people wanted change and some type of change they got. But at that time they were not as advanced as we are today. At this time we could change the world but no one wants to take the first step. They are afraid that history will repeat itself. But some day someone will realize that they are going to have to take the first step to making the world into how they want it and hopefully it will work…

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Being an American is being free and open for change. Change is almost like an occurring thing. Sometimes I wish that maybe instead of making change, we could understand what we have first, almost take recognition. Then suddenly, we muster up something in a moment and then we feel it's not good enough so we build onto something new. Why can’t we understand what we have, rather than trying to make something new?…
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we 've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” Those words were famously spoken from Barack Obama during his election period. Following through with those words, he begins to make change in the country. Change isn’t easy, yet you hope it’s worth it in the end.…
Christina Aguilera’s song “Can’t Hold Us Down” empowers women to take ownership of their bodies without being scared of how society might react to it, while pointing out the double standard between how women are welcomed in society and how men are welcomed. She points out the fact that men can do whatever they want in society without being chastised. For example, men may be praised for their sexual promiscuity, while women would be judge for theirs. The lyrics of Aguilera's song illstartates the prejudice women face when they are projecting their sexuality. Pop culture often supports sex, but still expects young women to act more closed off than their male counterparts due to our society is shaped. In the chorus of the song, Aguilera sings…
