• Greg sees himself as a rebel, a nonconformist, who is searching for spiritual enlightenment.
• He thinks acid will help bring him to having a higher conscious.
• After he finds the International Society of
Krishna Consciousness he thinks that instead of drugs, this religious group will help him reach the enlightenment he’s searching for.

Tourettes”: How Others See The Character
• Some people don’t understand him, and don’t know how to cope with his condition.
• Others are fascinated with how he can be a brilliant surgeon and maintain his tourettes.
• And some people won’t allow him to work on him due to their fear of him messing up and killing them.
Virgil “To See or Not To See”: How The Character
Wants To Be Seen
• Virgil is blind and has cataracts in his eyes, and all he wants to do is be seen as a person with eyes that actually works.
• He wants to be able to see his fiancé and for her to know that he can actually see her.
• He wants to know that even if his vision cannot be fixed that his fiancé will still love him no matter what.
