My name is Nichelle Johnson, I was born in El Campo, Texas. I grew up in Wharton, Texas. My Mother Joyce had four children. She was a single mother working to support us on her own. I am the third child born out of four. I have one niece and two nephews. Shardra, is my oldest sister she’s a full-time Special Education teacher in Fort Bend County. My brother Jamel lives in Houston working in a warehouse at Randstad. My youngest sister Veshia works at Kids World and is majoring to be an early childhood educator as well. My niece Jocelyn is 12 yrs old. She plays softball and has been names to the all-star teams, she also runs track. My oldest nephew Jermaine 11 years old has also been named as an all-star for baseball and football. My little nephew Brandon who’s 4 yrs old, I take care of goes to daycare with me. I graduated from Wharton high school in 2003. Went to Wharton County Junior College from 2003-2006 and received an Administrative Assistant Certificate. I love being around kids so I decided to go back to school to pursue my educational career. While going to school, my cousin, an infant at the time, came to live with me until he was 6 years old. This meant I was working part-time, a full-time student and full-time mother at the young age of 19. Life to me means friends and family who trust and are trusted. I am pretty much on the happy side of life, but like others I do I have my days. That means I do have some sad days or depressed days. I have someone here at school to talk to. I make my school days go by thinking of either the next hour or what I will do when I get home or on the weekend. The year 2018 will make fifteen years since I graduated from high school. In the next two-three years I hope to be in the public school district as a certified teacher. I can see myself into taking my family to the Cayman Islands someday for all the times they have supported me. I can also see that someday I will be able to pass my
