An Essay About Introduction to Communication
Communication is a process whereby information is enclosed in a package and is channeled and imparted by a sender to a receiver. The receiver then decodes the message and gives the sender a feedback. This is the formal way to explain communication.Means of communication as different ways but we can define 4 ways of communication; forms, medium, the media , other kinds.
Communication provides make friends and connects people to each other. People make communication in order to make things happen in our lives. People must learn communication like other skills and abilities. Also we use communication to inform, persuade and entertain each other. On the other hand communication is means of expressing our culture and our beliefs.
People use communication to provide their needs and purposes. Maslow explain this needs and purposes as a pyramid. Basic needs are at the bottom such as food, shelter, sex. The other needs are surviving physically and social beings, feeling secure and valuing by others, being involved with others in relationship, giving and receiving information, expressing ourselves, making sense of the world. In addition communication comes from 2 ways. They are genetic interitance(nature) and learning(nurture). The other important issue is messages are rarely neutral, messages may be overt or covert and that messages are usually multiple. The term ‘message’ can be divided into three parts: content, code and treatment.
Inter personal communication is different way of communication between two people. People use strategies when choosing their words to achieve some purposes. Games is other strategies for manipulating other people. People’s relationships are defined by the ways that we use communication, for better or for worse. Also there are many categories of social situation. For example, formal-informal, public-private, distant- intimate, ritual-open and functional-expressive. People regulate their contact
