An Extraordinary Person
People walk in and out of your life every day. Some people move on through the heartache and pain, and others hold on to that one somebody who has made a lasting impression on their life. All of my life I was gratefully blessed to have a very special person to rely on. He was there for everything from birth. Everyone has certain people in their lives that mean a lot to them, but it really takes a grand person to be important to you.
I have had many special people come into my life. The person I thought about the most when I was thinking about this essay is my grandfather. I am blessed to have him in my life. He is a very humble man who everyone gets along with. He is one who looks to God for strength and courage. Therefore I look to him to get my courage and strength.
My grandfather is unique in many different ways. The main thing I can think about him is the way he treated people. He has never met a stranger. From the moment he meets someone, he treats them as if they were all equal, which they are in God’s eyes. To him religion comes before everything; he always looks to God for strength and courage in everything he does. The thing that is so special about his religious affiliation is that he has passed it on to my brother. He took Pierce to church when he was a small child and as he got older the choice became his to continue to go to church or not. Of course, he chose to continue going to church with my grandfather. If it were not for my grandpa, Pierce would not have the relationship he has with God today. I believe it takes a very special person to introduce you to God. It takes a huge amount of love to show you the way to the Lord.
Everyone has a person that they can rely on. It is usually the person you can go to and tell them about what is going on in your life at the time. I think it takes a particular person to sit and take the time to listen to whatever you want to talk about. I always find it funny when I go to tell my
