An Incredible but True Story
An incredible but true story On a wet rainy night. My husband, daughter, and I were traveling on route 145. This was June 2008. I was pregnant with my son. We were going to see the fireworks. There was no parking on the side of the road, so we went down the street to turn around. At the intersection where we were making a left turn. All of a sudden our car spun around. I turned to my husband and he was like did we just get hit. I check on our daughter who was fine. We look around didn’t see another car. So we got out of the car to find that the whole back of the car looked like a tractor trailer hit us. After a few minutes went by a passing car stop. Asked if we were okay, we said yes, but still did not know what had hit us. Another guy stops and said where the guy on the motorcycle is. We never seem him. As we were looking around my husband and another guy seen the guy with the bike. He was about thirty to forty feet away from the accident. When the cops came along with the ambulance. They went to him because he was injured badly. The cops asked us for a statement we gave it. The cops said we were lucky to still have our daughter, because if the guy on the bike would have it the car a few inches shorter, she would have died. Than I was taking to the hospital to gets check out because of me being pregnant. My conclusion is always be thankful and appreciated for every moment you have. You never know when something bad is going to happen. Also I am glad that the guy on the bike came out find even though he was hurt badly but it could have been

Out of nowhere the Tahoe swerved quickly to the right. In the middle of the highway was a gleaming white dishwater. Everything went into slow motion, we swerved to the right and slammed into the back of the Tahoe. The airbags deployed with a loud bang, my head slammed into the window, and my sister was crying. Our car was totaled,…

We all have our daily routine from the time we get up in the morning till we go to bed at night. We make plans for the weekend with friends and family and don't think about how it can all change in a split second. I now think more about the actions and choices I make and how they can affect not only myself but others as well. I was faced several years ago, with the shock that one of my best friends had been in a horrific car accident. He made several very unfortunate choices throughout the night from the drinking and driving, speeding at 3 am, and the biggest mistake not putting on his seatbelt. When my friend rolled his truck, his passenger was buckled up and only had minor scrapes and bruises. My friend, the driver, was ejected out of the truck and suffered major injuries. The injuries included many broken bones, a clasped lung, brain damage from head trauma, and on more than one occasion in the hospital, his heart failed, and a resuscitation had to be performed. All terrible things that no one or family should have to go through. After speaking with the police and hospital…

Imagine seeing an ambulance show up at your house and the doctor inside of it has a huge needle ready to stick in your arm to put you in a permanent coma. When i was seven i had went to one if my friends birthday parties. It was a sleepover and when it was about midnight we were all awake and so we decided to prank call someone but unfortunately her phone was dead. They had two police officers standing beside the first ambulance. In…

I had a neck brace around my neck and IV’s stuck all in my arms. I started to panic, I was lost, confused and scared. My best friend was there in the ambulance trying to calm me down. But still, all I could think about was the reaction of my parents when they found out what happened. Once we got to the hospital, the paramedics took me to Emergency Care. The doctors ran many tests on me: MRI’s, CAT Scans, and X-Rays, whatever test you can name – they ran on me. As I waited for my results, the doctors came in and explained to me what happened. An intoxicated driver with a gun ran the red light and hit me in a head on collision. The driver not only totaled my mother’s car but also totaled his own car too. The good thing was that he was okay. I didn’t know what to be happier about; the fact that the other driver was fine or that the accident was not my fault. Selfish right? But I’m sure if you were me at the time, you would think the same thing.…

It happened on a day like any other, but little did I know while I was sound asleep, that I might never have the chance to see my father ever again. It was around midnight when my father was on his way home on his motorcycle. He was only two blocks away from home when all of a sudden a car illegally ran a stop sign, took a sharp left turn, and caused the monstrous vehicle to collide with my father head on. His body flung over the hood, and he flew onto the side of the road. With no helmet on,…

My confidence as a driver was diminished for a while during recovery from my first accident. I was often told I was a great driver for my age since I was 15 years-old. When I think about the accident I often ask myself should I have just stayed at the school that evening; was I wrong for going to support a loved one? It was definitely a traumatic experience that happened fast but felt as though it transpired dramatically slower than it did. After the accident was definitely a long dreadful process, that included it taking me almost two months to fully recover. It was unreal how an amazing day went bad and caused various consequences.…
