Engagement Engagement as a notion was introduced by William Kahn in 1990 (Kahn, 1990) 2. Engagement defined by Arie Shirom from Tel-Aviv University and his colleague S.Melamed (Shirom, 2011). As a measurement of engagement they developed so called Shirom-Melamed Vigor Measure (SMVM).
