The Concert (A Musical Party) is an oil on canvas, Baroque period painting completed by the Flemish painter Theodoor Rombouts circa 1620. The work portrays a group of five costumed musicians around a table covered with a Persian tapestry rug. Of the five performers, there are four men and one woman. The four men are playing various instruments, the woman appearing to be the vocalist. The play of deep shadows and bright highlights present in this painting make the overall use of chiaroscuro more pronounced, reflecting the strong influence of Caravaggio, a revolutionary Italian painter who Rombouts studied under. Caravaggio’s works, which combine the realistic rendering of the human state with a dramatic use of lighting, had a formative effect…

Growing up as a child was very met morale and a sometimes fun other times not experience. Many memories are developed during your childhood but many memories are forgotten. Memories that are remembered are apart of who we are today an what makes us how we are. These memories and experiences tech us life lessons that we use without knowing it everyday. A memorable day for me was in a lacrosse game in the 2012-13 lacrosse season.…

On another note popular music deals with music that is popular to today 's society. For this concert, I chose a concert performed by Evanescence which was posted on YouTube. This concert was definitely not a favorite. Though I am familiar with some of their earlier works, this concert was not exactly something to put the mind at ease, it was more of pumping up the crowd…
When I was eight years old, my mom took me to my first formal concert in Carnegie Hall to hear the Cincinnati Pops play because her office got her and her colleague VIP tickets for Christmas. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it all that much because I was never a fan of classical music at that age, but I loved every second of that concert, or the fact that I was in New York City. That’s still debatable.…
I went to the MDC Jazz Band & Jubilation Dance Ensemble. The conductor was Matt Bonelli and the dance coordinator was Michelle Grant Murray. The concert was held in the McCarthy Auditorium Room 6120 on Tuesday, October 28 2008. The concert started at 7:30 pm and ended at 8:40 pm. There were five jazz performances, and four dance performances happening mostly simultaneously.…

After viewing a rock concert performed by Linkin Park from modern times and a performance of Marin Marais, Suite No.3 from Pieces en trio (1692) baroque music (performed in modern times). I enjoyed both concerts, but even not being a musician, rock music can easily be separated from baroque music.…
The most memorable time in my life was my daughter's cleft palate surgery. It was January 4th when my daughter and I had to leave El Paso, TX to take a trip to Austin, TX. It was a long drive for a little baby like her at the time she was only two years old. Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good.…
After finally making it through the crowds we finally approached our seats jumping for joy as if we were on a trampoline. “I can’t wait; it’s going to be amazing!” my cousin screeched at the top of her lungs, as she couldn't stay seated for more than thirty seconds. I raced to buy a T-shirt, so I could forever have a piece of her concert with me. I could only dream of meeting Taylor, but in our eyes just being in the same complex as her was great. First we watched an opening band called “Hunter Hayes”, but in reality we were just waiting for the main attraction:…
My best childhood memory is going to Six Flags. Me, Tommy, Anthony, and Connor are going to Six Flags. Their mom is taking us. I was very excited to go to Six Flags because it would be my first time going. When we finally got there. We parked the car and walked to the gates. When we got into the park. Connor wanted to ride the cyclone. Tommy and Anthony asked if I wanted to ride it. I said, “No.” but they pulled me into doing it. So, we waited in line. When we got to the front of the line. We got on the roller coaster and the ride started. When we started to go up I was nervous. When we got to the top, and as we were going down I couldn’t even hear myself scream. After the ride we rode rides around the park. Then, we went to the water park…
