Most people do not know this, but Disneyland set the rule of cleanliness as the second of the most important rules. In order to make sure that the park is always clean, about 1000 brooms, 500 dustpans and 3000 mops are used every year (Nick, 2014). Because of this, customers that visit Disneyland always feel comfortable as the environment is as clean as what they see in the Disney films. This makes the image looks better, and at the same time, this helps in saving unnecessary costs in paying for the cleaners. With a lower maintenance cost, the company can earn more profit with the same price of …show more content…
According to Donna (2014), those are the secret codes used between the cast members when there are some emergency cases that are happening around them. For example, when “Code V” is heard, it means that someone is vomiting around, perhaps is because of some rides right after having some delicious meals. “Signal 25” is referring to a fire case going on in Disneyland. Extensive training has been given to all the cast members, so that they can keep everyone calm while taking actions, like cleaning up the mess or evacuating all the customers. Walt Disney had the vision that he wanted Disneyland to be like a fantasy land where dreams could come to life. Disneyland is a 17.5 million dollar magic kingdom. Even though the park was a very expensive project, “I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible, because dreams offer too little collateral” said Walt Disney. The history of Disneyland started with Walt Disney’s vision of a place where parents and children could have a magical time together. According to Just Disney, he started dreaming of creating this place in 1944 but World War II put his plans on hold. In 1953, he had the Stanford Research Institute conduct a survey for a 100-acre site, outside of Los Angeles to find out what people would like to see in this enchanted place. Walt Disney found out he needed space to build rivers, waterfalls, and mountains. He would have flying elephants and giant teacups, a fairy-tale castle, moon rockets, and a scenic railway; all inside a magical place he would call "Disneyland” (Wingert.) Chris Wingert stated that Disneyland was very expensive to build but Disney said “I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible, because dreams offer too little collateral”. Construction for the park began on July 21, 1954, a year before opening was scheduled. After construction begun, the history of Walt Disney would never be the same. Since the area was an orange grove, 160-acres of citrus trees had to be cleared and 15 houses were moved to make room for the park (Wingert.) After spending close to $17,000,000, Disneyland finally opened on July 17, 1955 in Anaheim, California. Wingert identified that opening day was a complete disaster, with the temperature over 110 degrees, thousands of…

Walt Disney Company for eighty years has captured the attentions of millions of people around the world, offering family entertainment at theme parks, resorts, recreations, movies, TV shows, radio programming, and memorabilia (David, 2009). Today, Walt Disney possesses four main business segments: Disney Consumer products, Studio Entertainment, Parks and Resorts, and Media Networks. Each of Disney's business units increased profits apart from its interactive division, which was recently restructured (Garrahan, 2011). By combining Disney's long history with the commitment to quality, Disney Consumer Products has had a large and steady presence in the toy marketplace (Anonymous, 2010). Studio entertainment has been somewhat of a problem for Disney and has not increased revenues by great percentages. Parks and Resorts increased revenue by 29 percent in 2006 and media networks increased revenue by 43 percent. The Media Network segment brings in the most revenue and operating income (David, 2009). This segment and the Parks & Resorts segments are growing.…
