I am against the idea of these competitive and changing sports to be made a part of the children's life. These sports can cause a lot of a strain in developing their personality as they are are the reason of extreme mental stress. Because of this, I feel like the parents should consider the harmful side of these kinds of sport on young children and abstain from this practice. I am also in the favor of the arguments made by Jessica Statsky. Her examples are really honest. She is on point when she mentions that children start to look for a way out of sports as I recall my early childhood, I used to pretend that I was sick just so I could avoid that torturing time of the gym and sports class. The fear of facing defeat is what kept me off the field for a long time. Fear of being beaten up is also one of the biggest reason for quitting among children.
I am in total agreement with statsky that these sports start to feel like a job rather than a playful leisure activity. It is really unsettling to see that none of the players smile while playing the game. All the children have only one thing in mind that is winning and defeating the other team even if it’s the last thing that they do. Sometimes the coaches and the guardians act like animals and show more immaturity than the kids, for example, using false language and yelling negative remarks to the opposing team. Few of the times it gets so bad that the parents start fighting each other. This has a very bad effect on the developing personality on the
