The Coca-Cola company has developed a unique program aimed at stimulating growth for startups in their early stages of growth. Through this program, called "The Bridge", Coca-Cola wanted to see how they could most effectively integrate new technologies by inviting top innovators like Screemo to participate. Over the past three years "The Bridge" Program has reached out to over 600 companies, of which 150 were interviewed and only 30 of which were invited to participate.
So, how does the initiative work? Coca-Cola is continuously looking for new software solutions that relate to health and wellness, consumer retail engagement among other categories. In order to find the best candidates, "The Bridge" searched in the most obvious places like Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Tel Aviv, which by the way has 1 startup per 1,800 residents. Coca-Cola provided these companies with a bridge to the global markets, thus expediting the commercialization of those technologies.
Aside for providing global market connections, "The Bridge" also guides the company through the entire business process by offering training, mentoring and by showing them how to engage with Coca-Cola business units.
