“Range, range against the dying of the light” (lines 3,9,15,19) the repetition of this line conforms that Thomas wants his father to fight against death, to fight the light of death. As he sits next to his dying father whom he loves, his mood is a mixture of despair, if his father should actually die now, and anger, of asking how can this be happening to my father?
