Analysis Of Donald Trump's Speech On Muslims
In this project, which satirized Donald Trump’s speech on muslims, our group’s goal was to bring light to Donald Trump’s atrocious behavior. His recent speech about muslims being the source of America’s problems is similar to many of Adolf Hitler’s speeches, where he blames members of the Jewish community for all of Germany’s problems, post World War I. Trump’s attitude towards muslims is very reminiscent of Hitler’s early attitude towards jews, and Trump’s tyranny must be stopped before it begins. As James Madison said, “The means of defence against foreign danger have been always the instruments of tyranny at home.” Trump’s means of defense against foreign danger are truly the instruments of tyranny. Therefore, Trump must be given no quarter

The use of his style shows that Muslim Americans do not want to associate themselves with terrorists like Omar Mateen the Orlando shooter whom he calls a “monster” and that he is trying to provide reasons that not all Muslims Americans represent a terrorist-like character. Using the word monster to describe Mateen, he points out the mistake most people make when they see a Muslim individual having more in common with a terrorist, in which it is made clear that he and other Muslim Americans do not support or associate themselves with an idiotic psychopath as he describes. Furthermore, Ansari takes a literal approach to Donald Trump’s quote to the American Muslim community that they know “who the bad one are” implying that they are all involved in terrorists attack and should be banned. His comparison is that if the people who caused the recession of 2007-2008 would fit Trump’s logic of banning all white males to protect the American economy. Pointing out the faults in Donald Trump’s reasonings is the main point being addressed, and is using language to show the ridiculousness of his logic and how he disassociates himself with terrorists like Omar Mateen, whom he calls a monster. His simple solution to the problem of terrorism may be…

In this speech, Justin Trudeau presented three main arguments. By recounting the personal stories he had heard from his travels across Canada, speaking with local citizens, he attempted to present himself as the people’s candidate. Lastly, Justin promised that he and the Liberal Party stand for true change that will benefit the middle class unprecedentedly.…

On June 16th at his very own Trump Tower in New York City, Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president. It was only thirty seconds into his speech when Trump committed his first fallacy. In an attempt to insult the intelligence of his fellow GOP candidates, he compared their incompetence toward air conditioners to their supposed inability to beat ISIS. “They didn’t know the air-conditioner didn’t work,” “How are they going to beat ISIS?” This is a bad example fallacy due to his use of an example that fails to prove the conclusion and has little connection to it. Despite the complete lack of relation between Trump’s example and his conclusion, he was still able to provoke the audience into feelings of contempt toward the other…

A discussion of religion can branch into any number of topics, over any number of denominations and sects, about its effects on law and politics, and its role within society. However, mention religion today, and one subject arises universally: Danish cartoons. Out of context, this sounds ridiculous, but within a sound framework, the subject broaches religion at every possible entry. Perhaps no event in recent history, excluding 9/11, has provoked such a universal and rapid backlash. Retaliation against the publication of these comics stunned and shocked the world and led to the mass proposition of one question: Why? This line of thought sprung many queries. Why are Muslims so offended? Why did the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten publish the comics in the first place? Why is Islam seemingly out of control? Simple minds propose that Islam just can 't handle a few jibes, and that the religion produces lunatics. However, sift through the misconceptions and the prejudices, and a more complex answer lies within, one that includes surprisingly little Islam and a far greater amount of oppression and subjugation. The heart of these protests lies not within Islam, but in the molding of the ignorant by power and the makings of history.…

However, Rushdie’s work the “Satanic Verses” which presented a satirical outlook of Islam, prevailed to be the most controversial and contentious of his line of works. Many Muslims argued that Rushdie’s book demeaned the origins of the Islamic faith and also the Prophet Muhammad; radicals demanded that the book be banned in all countries where Islamic influence persisted. On the other side, there were also observers that debated that Rushdie’s book should not be banned because of Salman Rushdie’s freedoms of expression. This epidemic resulted in the breakout of protest of radical Islamist and death threats against Salman Rushdie. Daniel Pipes’ peace “The Rushdie Affair: The Novel, the Ayatollah and the West,” depicts the issue “The Satanic Verses” poses on a global level. Pipes’ work is strategically put together to explain exactly how the “The Satanic Verses” became such a catastrophic peace of work, how Muslim activist perceived the content within Rushdie’s book, and most importantly in regards to radical Islam today, Daniel Pipes examines how this issue generated problems between Iran and the west, which, ultimately could potentially lead to future complications with radical Islamist.…
