When we are in a college most of us do not think much about moving back in with our parents, but recent studies show that a majority of young people are moving back in.
According to twenty three year old Mike Masilunas, that moving back in with his folks is an excellent strategy if you are trying to save money or pay off any loans. Mike has a student loan debt of forty thousand dollars, and that by moving back he is saving about six hundred dollars on rent, that all goes to finish paying off his loan. Brenna O’Shea noticed that living on school campus has changed the way she acted, so Brenna decided to move back in with her parents to settle herself in. And twenty four year old Booby Franklin Junior went back home in order to save money on rent even though he has a stable and decent
job. Your folks do not mind if their children come back home and stay home until their children are ready to leave, in the Franklin house, Bobby’s parents do not mind having him around. When Mike moved back home he had to share a room with his older brother, Mr. Masiluna also does not mind having his son home because they get along and he helps around the house with chores. Another reason why Mr. Masiluna did not hesitate having his child around was because his sons’ friends many have also made the same choice to stay with their parents. I personally think it is great that our parents let us live with them until we are ready to leave, but even though we are adults, we still got to go by there rules. According to the article “Financial Behavioral Problem Among University Students” students do not know how to spend and handle money. For example me I am nineteen and I am always out of money because I buy stuff that I do not need, and always go out to eat. This happens to us students, because we were not taught how to handle our money and this why we live with our parents. Most college students take out loans and they have to be payed after you graduate, these loans take time and money to pay them off, and it delays our future goals to buy objects. This is why most people after graduation go back to live at home. All in all there are many people that are still living with their parents and this rate will keep growing, as long as parents’ children keep bringing their children back home. This will continue because college students do not know how to handle money well and that’s is why we are broke. Living at home with parents has many advantages, such as not having to pay rent; unless your parents hate you, but that helps saving up money or pay off loans. Our birth givers do not mind if we stay with them for many years, up until we get off our feet. Living in our childhood home with our parents is an advantage for money racking, mother and father do not care if we stay with them, and finally undergraduates will not struggle too much financially.
