Analysis Of I M Being Stalked By A Moonshadow
“I'm Being Stalked By a Moonshadow” is a novel by Puffin Books and published in 2006. The story is about a young boy named Seth and his obsession with a muscular girl name Miranda but his mission is to try to win his dream girl by using the Mr. Right list. Then he finds out that his dream girl is from the Raven family and his family doesn't get along with Miranda's family but Miranda and Seth secretly date and do secret things to try keep each other together. Although Seth and his family have a bad relationship with the Raven family whenever Mr. Parrot and Mr. Raven see each other they do silly things to get revenge on one another. At the beginning of the novel Mr Parrot and Mrs Parrot lived a very happy life until Mr. Parrot did something unacceptable to Mr. Raven, yet Mrs. Parrot is very suspicious with Mr. Parrot, but after that one incident Mr Parrot and Mrs Parrot have been having fights so

The main characters help make the story more interesting by doing weird, crazy and mysterious things. Seth Parrot is one of the main characters and he tries to win his dream girl throughout the novel. However, Seth is a very awkward person and he does crazy things to get Miranda from liking him but Seth is also a very random person, he says random things to try talk to Miranda. Another character in the book is Miranda, Miranda is a tomboy and she loves kickboxing, Miranda is an attractive person and very opened with boys, she talks to them in a friendly way and gets along with them very well. Miranda is also a very heartwarming person she's very nice and kind. Although Mr. Raven is a very strict man, he does what needs to be done but Mr. Raven is also an officious man he uses his manners almost all the time because he’ll do anything to get the Parrot family in trouble. Mr. Parrot is an interesting man because he gives interesting facts to his son and Mr. Parrot is smart because he knows interesting facts.
The reader experiences many different emotions when the reading the novel. We felt jealous for Seth when Miranda has had many boyfriends come over to her house, but we are also proud that Seth wrote a good play that both mum and dad feel good about. However, when we felt guilty when Mr. Raven blamed dad for the portaloo stunt, mum also got mad. Even though we feel worried for Seth that he might be doing the wrong thing by dating Mr. Raven's daughter, until he starts to own up to the portaloo prank he might regret doing the prank.
My favourite character is Miranda, she loves kickboxing, she basically treasures it but her father is a strict and bold man who does his job seriously.
Miranda goes kickboxing class but she meets someone on the way, a boy name Seth. Miranda slowly gets know this boy and then she falls in love with this boy. She then gets a massive crush on him, whenever she invites him to her house her dad gets angry because Seth is from a different family that her father and Seth's father are against each other. Miranda and Seth had feelings for each other and started to date. But her father is against her dating Seth so Miranda and Seth secretly date. Both of them call each night to see if they are doing okay, but one day Mr. Raven caught them calling each other one night and told Seth to not every call his daughter again, but they deny his request and called each night. However, there was this one secret Seth didn't tell his girlfriend. One night he told Miranda something he shouldn't have and they got into a big fight although they never saw each other again they got back
together.
I think the book is pleasing, but my personal favourite part was when Jack ripped his pants while doing kickboxing. His kick was too high and strong that his pants ripped right in half, it was really funny! However, my least favourite part of the book was at the end, when everyone was gathering to make Mr. Raven put up the SLC again and how they were apologising to each other. I don’t think the ending was good, but I think the author should have changed the ending to make it better.
I would recommend this novel to boys and girls age 12+ because this book has some difficult and naughty words in it but it makes the novel funny and interesting. The main characters in the novel make it hilarious and fun. It’s fascinating how in each chapter there is an interesting fact, I think it’s an amazing idea and makes the reader know a fact for each chapter they read.
