SCENE 4 (Jasper’s House)(Dining table)
Mr. Dekker: I’ve heard that you and Madeline are having problems. Is that true? (Jasper does not answer) Our company and her father’s would be merging soon. I hope you would not do anything stupid to jeopardize that.
Mrs. Dekker: Your son is smart. He would not do something that he knows is wrong.
Mr. Dekker: I hope so. Son! I’ve talked with Coach Durham. He said that you have been working rough this season. What’s happening? Are you taking this seriously?
Jasper: I am taking this seriously. My life does not revolve in playing basketball, Dad.
Mr. Dekker: You better take this seriously or else you would not be able to play college ball!

Madeline (as Lizzie)'Is it really me?'
James (as Starbuck, hamming): 'Yes. You're-you're b-bbeautiful.'
(The two are close to each other and they were seen by Jasper) (Madeline turns away)
Madeline: Hey. What are you doing here? (Madeline walks toward Jasper)

Jasper: Is it okay if I just stay here for a while? I just can’t stand my Dad.
Madeline: Of course. Whatever you need. I’ll get you something to eat.
(Madeline Exit)
Jasper: Hey. You look like a decent guy but I’m telling you now. Don’t take advantage of her. She’s mine.
James: You’re one to talk. She’s yours now but won’t be for long. You and I both know that in the end the person you’ll end up hurting most is you. I’m surprise she still doesn’t know the truth.
(Madeline Enters)
James to Madeline: I’m sorry to do this but I have to go. My mom is looking for me.
Madeline: oh? It’s okay. Let’s just continue this some other time.
(James hugs Madeline while James and Jasper are staring at each other)

(Madeline and Jasper are seating)(Madeline’s head is on Jasper’s shoulder)
Madeline: What’s going on with you? Talk to
She’s suspecting something. She called me just before you got here. I know her and she knows me. It’s not long before she figures this out. I love you. I’m in love with you, I have tried to kill it to run away from it but I can’t and I don’t want to anymore. You have to choose between us. To whom does your heart really belongs?
Jasper: What happened with us was just a mistake. I’m finally happy with her again. I don’t want to ruin everything. She’s still unstable and she’s just starting to recover I’m afraid of what she might do. There’s another problem, somehow James knows something about what’s been going on.
