Peggy Seeger highlights perfectly in her 1970's folk song, "I'm Gonna Be an Engineer" the stereotypical gender roles discussed by Katha Pollitt in her essay, "Why Boys Don't Play With Dolls", as Pollitt states that despite studies showing that there are very minor differences found scientifically between male and female brains, there are very obvious differences in the likes, dislikes and behaviors of even very young boys versus very young girls.
