Barack Obama is running for president again, and that takes a huge amount of time and space for the poor presidential candidate. That’s why it’s so great to have a loving wife, who can take some of the burden laid on Barack’s shoulders.
Barack is a big celebrity right now, and will most definitely become even more famous, if he gets to be president two terms. That means that he will have a harder time convincing his fellow Americans, that he might in fact be, a very regular and down to earth, man.
Michelle Obama held a speech for her beloved husband on the democratic national convention, and the main goal in the speech must’ve been, to show everyone, the true Barack Obama.
She starts out with a lot of Pathos, showing the listeners that she has been around the country, supporting her husband, and therefore has found a great amount of hard working Americans. She salutes them in front of a big amount of people, who most likely are below the American average, in the matter of money. That’s a great way for her to catch the audience, getting them to cheer for her a lot, like in this quote: “…I’ve seen it in our men and women in uniform and our proud military families…in wounded warriors who tell me they’re not just going to walk again, they’re going to run, and they’re going to run marathons…in the young man blinded by a bomb in Afghanistan who said, simply, “…I’d give my eyes 100 times again to have the chance to do what I have done and what I can still do.”” Then she focuses a lot on the daily life of the little family, telling people a short story of how they met. Telling them how great a man he was, even back then, and how much like many of them he was: “…he was the guy whose proudest possession was a coffee table he’d found in a dumpster, and whose only pair of decent shoes was half a size too small.” With this, she humanize Barack even more, telling them how he was and is a man of the people.
