Analysis Of Minimum Wage
1. A person earning minimum wage is probably working a job at an unskilled labour level.

2. The level of the minimum wage over the years has been rising at a slightly lower rate than the poverty threshold for a family of 4, and tends to lie somewhere that is slightly above the threshold for one person under 65, but a decent amount lower than the threshold for a family of 4. I can conclude that the minimum wage is not designed to support a family, and I could conclude that's because it is less likely that a person in a family of 4, working a minimum wage job, is the main source of income.

3. From the differences in these two thresholds (or lack thereof), I can conclude that the team of people responsible for determining these thresholds

KRUEGER* Replication and reanalysis are important endeavors in economics, especially when new findings run counter to conventional wisdom. In their Comment on our 1994 American Economic Review article, David Neumark and William Wascher (2000) challenge our conclusion that the April 1992 increase in the New Jersey minimum wage led to no loss of employment in the fast-food industry. Using data drawn from payroll records for a set of restaurants initially assembled by Richard Berman of the Employment Policies Institute (EPI) and later supplemented by their own datacollection efforts, Neumark and Wascher (hereafter, NW) conclude that “... the New Jersey minimum-wage increase led to a relative decline in fast-food employment in New Jersey” compared to Pennsylvania.1 They attribute the discrepancies between their findings and ours to problems in our fast-food restaurant data set.…
