Transportation is currently arranged but not provided by the Rapha Assisted Living. Arrangements are conducted in collaboration with the relatives at the time of admission. The transportation arrangements include transport residents to doctor appointments, activities, etc. You must have fleet insurance or sedan service to provide transportation for the residents. Since most of the residents have their own vehicles it is most appropriate and cost effective to arrange transportation for those who do not. However, in arranging for transportation, we need to contact county services or city rides to provide transportation service three times per week. This also increases Rapha’s value to the community.…

An old black and white photograph, of what looks to be a town or community nestled in a valley of mountains, is weathered and damaged. In the photograph, over a dozen buildings are scattered across a small piece of land; what looks to be the equivalent of about four blocks in today’s terms. A railroad runs through the middle of the town, disappearing into the mountains beyond. The land is bare. There are no trees on this land aside from the ones outlining the town. The buildings are cabin like and made of wood. There are a few barns and some bigger buildings that could have been trading posts or a type of storage building. Two of the buildings at the bottom of the photograph look the same. They have one glass pane window on one side, which can help you to imagine how small these are. Both houses are fenced in. They also have porches and chimneys.…

Rye, Colorado is a model representation and example of small town seclusion and small town community. At surface level, Rye offers the basic characteristics and charm of an isolated farm-like neighborhood. Most of its buildings are quaint and offer a certain sense of antiquity to them. Unlike the city roads which seemingly cut through the landscape, their roads seem to intertwine and follow the shape of the land. The houses are small, one level and do not have much of a distance between them. There seems to be only one of each common institution or public place. One elementary school, one high school, one church, one café, all named after the town itself. The only thing that seems to be of excess were the amount of cows and horses, along with…

Nestled deep within the Berkshire Mountains rests the small town of Westfield, Massachusetts. Every morning, a light, tepid fog settles among the quiet streets, devising a peaceful and calm atmosphere. Light winds gently brisk through the many oak trees, swaying the branches back and forth.
